Pies run over by young Saints
Sunday 1st May, 2005
Collingwood have sunk to the bottom of the AFL ladder, after a less than impressive display against St Kilda at the MCG today, losing by 38pts.
After an even first half, the Pies were simply outclassed by the young Saints, as Fraser Gehrig stormed home with 8 goals.
The lightning fast Rhyce Shaw was again one of the sides best players, as well as Chad Morrison and Brodie Holland, who both worked tirelessly in the middle. Jason Cloke's comeback into the senior side was also impressive, with a brilliant first half.
Defender Simon Prestigiacomo injured his hip in the 2nd term, after beginning the game in brilliant fashion on Gehrig. The extent of his injury will be on the TMN forum when further details are known, however it did not appear to be overly serious.
