Fanning promoted to senior list to replace Davidson

Young ruckman David Fanning has been promoted to the Magpies' senior list, as Tom Davidson was added, for the third time, to the long-term injury list with his achilles problem.

Fanning, who played in the Pies Wizard Cup match against West Coast earlier this month, is now into his second season with the club after crossing over from Basketball where he played with the Cairns Taipans in the NBL.

Davidson's bad luck continues, as he faces at least 8 weeks out of the game to recover from yet another serious leg injury.

Fanning's inclusion to the senior list will also help fill the indefinate void left by Guy Richards, who looks likely to miss the first few matches of the premiership season with a knee problem.
