Buckley selection shock

Just one day after football manager Neil Balme stated Nathan Buckley would not return this week, the Magpies have named the champion to in their extended squad to take on the Demons on Monday.

Buckley joins Jason Cloke, Matthew Lokan and Ryan Lonie as possible inclusion, however it is highly unlikely the Captain will take his spot in the final 22 to be announced on Saturday.

Youngster Chris Egan is the only omission, and will miss through suspension.
