Buckley out indefinitely

Wednesday 30th March, 2005

Collingwood star Nathan Buckley's comeback to AFL football has been cut short, with the skipper being sidelined 'indefinitely' by the club today.

Chronic scar tissue problems are said to be the problem, with Buckley simply unable to play out a regular match at the required intensity.

The big question now for Collingwood is who can, or indeed will replace Buckley in the middle of the ground - with youngsters Jules Rowe and Brayden Shaw both pushing for selection this week for that onball role.

Alan Didak, the likely replacement, is still said to be a fortnight away from senior football after injury problems of his own.
